On behalf of a successful German family-owned company based in Wuppertal, we are looking for an entrepreneurial and internationally experienced leader to expand and manage the Dutch sales company as soon as possible.
Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality screwdriving tools and intelligent torque technology “Made in Germany.” Its products enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide – especially in industries such as aviation, renewable energies, the automotive industry, and industrial crafts.
Managing Director (m/f/d) Netherlands – Sales
Your responsibilities
• Operational and strategic management of the Dutch site in close cooperation with an equal managing director (turnover approx. €6 million)
• Expansion and management of sales with a focus on distribution partners (technical wholesalers, hardware retailers) and acquisition of defined target customers (industry, trade)
• Strategic market development of Dutch market associations (e.g., Zevij-Necomij, Nordwest): securing listings, negotiating framework agreements, defending against private label competition
• Management, development, and motivation of the local internal and external sales team (5 employees)
• Continuous optimization of sales processes and systematic acquisition of new customers
• Expansion of key accounts in close cooperation with the German parent company
• Further development of the service and project business (after-sales, repairs, training)
• Responsibility for local marketing and sales strategies, including market and competition analysis, distribution channels, pricing and product policy
• Leveraging modern demand generation strategies to reach end customers through trading partners
• Active participation in local and group-wide company projects
Your profile
• Completed degree (e.g., business administration, industrial engineering) or comparable technical/commercial qualification
• Several years of experience in the sale of technical products (ideally tools, hand tools, or capital goods)
• Sound technical understanding and passion for high-quality, consultation-intensive products
• Proven leadership experience in a sales organization with P&L responsibility, ideally including after-sales business
• Experience working with distribution partners, wholesalers, and key accounts; building dealer networks and managing market development strategies
• Convincing leadership personality with strong communication skills, assertiveness, and a clear focus on results
• Motivating, structured, and hands-on approach to work
• Confident use of MS Office and ERP systems
• Willingness to travel
• Native Dutch speaker; business-fluent in English; German skills advantageous
